2017 Peanut and Cotton Field Tour - Caddo Research Station

Peanut and Cotton acreage is way up in 2017 and crop conditions have been outstanding. Get ready for harvest by joining OSU and USDA/ARS extension and research specialists at Ft. Cobb, OK for the annual Caddo Research Station Tour to be held at 5:30 PM Thursday 21 Sept. Activities will actually begin earlier in the afternoon. A peanut hull-blasting clinic will begin at 3:00 PM and peanut producers are invited to bring samples from their fields to assess crop maturity and help project a timely harvest date. At 5:30 PM we will tour research and demonstration plots that cover the latest in peanut variety development, peanut disease control, weed control in peanuts and cotton, and the latest in cotton varieties and technology. The tour will wrap up with dinner and industry updates.
